DESCRIPTION:Teens for Christ is celebrating 40 years of ministry in North Central Kansas this year. We are planning a number of special events. The first will come quickly on Saturday\, February 8th. Amber loves to cook so we will be hosting a celebration fundraiser dinner. Amber is planning to cook a 5-course chocolate dinner. Each course will feature chocolate in some form. Tickets for this event will be $50.00 and seating is limited to 60 so be sure to get in touch with us quickly to get your tickets. This is a great way to support the ministry and perhaps\, you could invite another couple who might be interested in the work that we do. We will be sharing stories from the last 40 years of ministry as well as sharing a vision for the next 40! \n

DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon session designed for parents\, youth workers\, teachers\, school administrators\, and anyone who works or is involved in teenagers’ lives.\nDid you know: \nStudies have found that frequency of porn use correlates with depression\, anxiety\, stress\, and social problems.\nThere are clear differences in the brain activity between patients who have compulsive sexual behavior and healthy volunteers.\nPorn use has been found to influence some users’ sexual preferences\, leaving them wanting what they’ve seen onscreen an significantly less satisfied with sex in real life. \nAmong the effects of the use of pornography are an increased negative attitude toward women\, decreased empathy for victims of sexual violence…and an increased in dominating and sexually imposing behavior. \nThe Department of Justice and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children both recognize that pornography is an element that adds to the serious problem of sex trafficking. \n90% of boys and 62% of girls view porn before age 18. \nEasy accessibility has turned the Internet into today’s “drug dealer”- a place where porn-related searches represent nearly 25% of ALL online inquiries. \nCome learn more about this issue facing today’s teens and families.
